What Is the VA Telehealth Tablet Program?

The Veterans Affairs (VA) Telehealth Tablet Program is designed to bring quality healthcare directly to veterans, no matter where they live. The program recognizes that traveling long distances or waiting for appointments can be especially challenging for veterans with health or mobility issues.

The VA Telehealth initiative combines video appointments, remote patient monitoring, and digital health tools to ensure veterans stay connected with their healthcare providers. A key component is the VA-loaned tablet, provided to eligible veterans who lack access to a device or reliable internet.

  • Free internet-connected tablet at no cost to veterans
  • Pre-loaded with VA Video Connect app for secure visits
  • Remote patient monitoring capabilities included
  • 24/7 technical support and setup assistance
